Behavior Rehabilitation
For anxiety, reactivity, aggression, & complex behavior issues.
How it works
Behavior Rehabilitation is designed for dogs who aren’t yet ready for traditional obedience training due to anxiety, reactivity, or other behavioral challenges.
Our primary focus is building a stable mental and emotional foundation — because only when your dog can slow down and process information does learning become possible.
Each session is carefully structured to help your dog regulate emotions, disengage from stressors, and gradually build confidence in everyday environments.
Rehab begins with your dog staying with us in a highly structured, low-pressure environment with carefully controlled exposure to people, dogs, and stimulation.
Your dog's progress is measured by:
👉 Ability to calmly recover after stress
👉 Reduced intensity and frequency of reactions
👉 Ability to disengage instead of escalate
👉 Remaining steady and responsive under mild pressure
Once stability is achieved, your dog may transition into our standard Board & Train & Private Lesson programs.

Our Behavior Rehabilitation Program
4-Week Immersion With Owner Integration
Your dog will stay with us at our private 2-acre ranch for 4 weeks as we establish a calm, stable foundation and address behavioral challenges.
Afterward, we’ll guide you through three one-on-one lessons to transfer skills, reinforce leadership, and ensure lasting results at home.
Lesson 1 - Transfer/Hand-off (most important)
This is the most important lesson for you because without it, your dog will regress and training will collapse.
What we focus on:
Owner Mechanics - How to move, position, and guide your dog so commands and cues are clear.
Communication - How to use tone, body language, and signals your dog can easily understand.
Leash handling - Techniques for calm, controlled walks without pulling, lunging, or chaos.
Structure & rules - How to set consistent boundaries and expectations so your dog knows what’s allowed.
Prevent regression - How to maintain progress at home and avoid undoing what your dog has learned.
Lesson 2 - Real-world application
This lesson is where your dog learns to perform reliably in everyday life, and you gain the skills to handle real-world distractions with confidence.
What we focus on:
Public Work - How to confidently manage your dog in real-life settings like parks, sidewalks, and outdoor restaurants.
Distractions - Techniques to keep your dog focused and calm around people, other dogs, and unexpected triggers.
Corrections & timing - How to respond effectively when your dog makes mistakes, and how to deliver cues at the right moment for lasting learning.
Troubleshooting - Problem-solving strategies for challenges that come up in everyday situations so you can handle them calmly and confidently.
Lesson 3 - Stabilization/Polish (optional)
This optional lesson provides extra guidance and refinement as needed to ensure you're confident handling your dog.
Useful for:
Refining Skills - Strengthening behaviors learned in previous lessons for consistency and reliability.
Advanced Problem Solving - Addressing tricky situations or lingering challenges.
Confidence-Building - Helping you feel secure and in control while working with your dog.
Polishing performance - Fine-tuning your dog’s behavior in real-world settings to ensure long-term success.
